From backstage to center stage: Kathy’s Directorial Journey

Kathy is a director with a unique background shaped by 30 years as a professional stage manager. Working alongside leading theatre artists of our time, this deep backstage experience now informs a directing style built on precision, collaboration, and powerful storytelling. Having managed over a hundred productions as a Stage Manager or backstage, Kathy brings distinctive strengths to directing: Script Insight: Analyzing texts with a stage manager’s eye for detail. Team Leadership: Building trust through clear communication. Technical Rhythm: Creating dynamic pacing informed by decades of cue-calling.
